Triathlon Junior Training Spring Camp (Set/Oct School Holidays)

The camp is designed for advanced and intermediate juniors. For example, in the bike sessions, the junior must be able to ride a bike on a public road independently and safely. In the swim sessions, the junior must be able to swim multiple laps in a 50m pool. For run sessions, the junior must be able to run longer distances.

Participants can choose to join the full camp (one week) or just individual sessions of the camp as they wish.

Sub-juniors and beginner triathletes can join the track run sessions, lecture sessions and some pool sessions if parents are willing to assist the activity.

Training: Each day the camp starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm. The activity sessions run for 2 hours and the lecture sessions run for 1 hour. The sessions need to be confirmed by the participants in advance. Parents are welcome to join in or help to supervise.

General Information: Bring appropriate warm gear, note book, pen and nutritional snacks and lunch. Each day the participants need to bring gear for the all three disciplines including days where an activity is not in the program as sessions can change without notice. All the swim sessions will be held at the Albury Pool. All the run and bike sessions will start from the Albury Pool car park, except the track run sessions at the Albury Track. Participants staying for lunch may bring their own food. A canteen facility is available at the pool.

Equipment & Clothing:: Swim goggles, swimming bathers, towel, running shoes (with elastic laces are preferred), drinking bottle, sports bag, sun screen, road bike and helmet, hat, socks sport shorts and T-shirt for running and cycling. Also bring warmer clothes for before and after training. As the clinic involves several activities over several hours an extra change of clothes is advisable
